Mom ’n ’em Coffee was born from a simple but heartfelt idea: to create a space that feels like home. Inspired by our mother, Theresa—who has always been at the center of our family—we wanted to build a neighborhood café that carried her warmth, hospitality, and comfort. The name itself, “Mom ’n ’em,” comes from the way our family would ask each other "How is your Mom 'n 'em?", a phrase that is basically asking "How is your mom and everyone else?" A phrase our father and uncles picked up from the classic 700 WLW AM radio station.
The idea started with our travels and time spent in cafes, bars, and restaurants across the world. We were always chasing those places that brought people together, where you could just as easily sip a morning espresso as you could share a bottle of wine with friends in the evening. While living and working in San Francisco, we knew we wanted to eventually return to Cincinnati to create something similar, a spot that celebrated our love of coffee, wine, and good food all while bringing together a wonderful community.
Opening in Camp Washington in 2019, Mom ’n ’em quickly became more than just a café; it’s a home base for friends, family, and neighbors to gather. What started as a tribute to our mom and a dream to bring world-class coffee and hospitality to Cincinnati has grown into something larger: a reflection of who we are as brothers, as a family, and as a brand.
